The Replacement Umbrella Shade for Coral Coast Umbrellas is offered to extend the life of these popular patio umbrellas. Available in a 9-foot octagonal size, these shades are designed for eight-ribbed, octagonal umbrellas. These shades are made of 100% solution-dyed Solefin fabric. Solution-dying puts the color deep into the fabric instead of just on the surface, making the fabric extremely fade-resistant. Solefin canopies have a 2-year warranty against fading. Please note that shade sizes are not universal among all manufacturers.
If you intend to try this shade with any other umbrella, please measure very carefully. We cannot guarantee these parts will accommodate all umbrellas, and the cost of return shipping is your expense.

Spot clean fabric with a solution of mild dish soap and water, umbrella canopy can be hosed off as needed. Allow to air dry.

too lightweight
The umbrella flies and falls over in the wind even with a 60lb stand, finally had to nail the stand to the deck and close it when it's windy.

Purchased a 9 foot replacement umbrella. I was somewhat concerned about fit but it turned out not to be a problem. The umbrella fit like the original and the material was as good as the original.

Q1: Is this umbrella water proof
A: This item is just the replacement shade - not a complete umbrella - but no, it isn't water proof.
Q2: I have a 9 ft. market umbrella in need of a replacement canopy. It has 8 ribs 70-72 inches long. The base is wooden and raises with a pulley system. Do you have a canopy that will fit my umbrella?
A: I don't believe our replacement shades would fit your umbrella frame. The replacement shade you noted has an option for a 9 ft. Coral Coast shade and they do have 8 ribs. However, the ribs on the 9-foot poles measure 54 inches from hub to tip which appears to be shorter than your frame would require.
Q3: Can I buy a replacement canopy and put it on another company's umbrella frame? If so where do you measure the umbrella, is it across the width, ie two spines length?
A: If the canopy will accommodate the size of the frame, it can absolutely be used! In order to get a correct length of the canopy, measure from the tip of the umbrella, up over the finial, to the other end tip of the umbrella.
Q4: Will the 9ft patio coral coast shade fit a 9ft market umbrella by sunbrella?
A: It's unlikely it would fit - every manufacturer has a slightly different design – but to determine, compare the specs on the pole (item#: RE031) which fits this specific 9-ft. shade to see if it marries up to your existing umbrella pole.
