I have three umbrellas. We use the umbrella's for shade at my ice cream shoppe. However, on occasion they come in handy on rainy days. We do not have any indoor seating; so they are used rain or shine. They are always up during opperating hours so I quess we use them as "open" signs also. They are all different colors so I use them as outdoor decorations as well.

      We're buying three umbrellas to replace three that have worn out. These umbrellas will last 2+ years in year-round Florida sun, which is no small feat. With the proper base they withstand an amazing amount of wind. They take a reasonable amount of abuse considering the price however they are not "weapons grade" and will break if knocked around. Store dry or fungus will form. These are perfect around-the-pool umbrellas for very little cost.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      This is the third time I have ordered these umbrellas. While they are not the most sturdy, you can't beat them for the price. I have a big yard and have four of them at a time. So, it would cost a bundle to order four of the more expensive umbrellas. They are beautiful, but I have found that the color does fade rather quickly. They still look pretty, but you can definitely see the color difference when adding a new one. The poles are a gorgeous high gloss dark wood - extremely rich looking. However, the wood does get "aged" looking after a season. But they do the trick, are beautiful to look at, and have great color selections. I just want to point out that they only have 6 ribs rather than 8 ribs, which would make it more durable. Also, it makes the umbrella a bit smaller than others of the same size. But truly worth the money they cost!

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                  Two years ago we bought three of these umbrellas for our pool area in St. Petersburg, FL These umbrellas are outside all year round and they have survived nicely. Wind damage to one (broken support) which we repaired. At one time or another they've ended up in the pool and suffered no ill effects from the chlorine, etc. I figure to get another year out of the three and then replace them with the same product.

                  Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
