we have the umbrella in a table WITH a stand under the table, so it's kinda supported in two places. so far we have had no trouble with wind. I love the fabric and the look. my only wish is that it came in a light brown color. The canvas color is "almost" white.

Used in pool are in Fl. covers the entire table and looks nice. The cord is in the way have to tie it up and lay it in the spindles other than that its a great product for the money. I was so pleased I ordered one for my son in Saratoga Springs ,NY and he also loves it.
