I searched high and low for an umbrella to use with our pool furniture. I just could not justify $400+ for an umbrella; therefore, I was excited when I found this for [$]...figured if it lasted at least a season, I would get my money's worth.It looks as if it will last more than a season. It is sturdy and the double vents allow for wind to pass through easily. It is quite tall - which could pose a problem if someone is using it with a lightweight table (our table is ridiculously heavy, so i don't foresee us having any trouble with it tipping). We have had a good storm and quite a few windy days with the umbrella up and tilted (oops!) and it stood like a champ. I would mention that there is no UV reflection stuff on the back of the umbrella - as i have seen on some of the more expensive, thicker umbrellas - but it is definitely not a deal breaker for us. Just remember to put sunscreen on even when sitting under the umbrella! It definitely is thick enough, though, to stop the sun from being 'hot' on you as you sit under it - the table and chairs under the umbrella's shade remain cool even during the heat of the day.As others have mentioned, the tilt is rather difficult to operate. I am 5'7" and pretty independent, yet I've had to get my husband to climb on the table and tilt the umbrella. BUT you can't expect everything to be perfect when you're only paying [$]!!! Once it is tilted, we've not had any problems with it staying put and providing great coverage.We are very pleased and I would not hesitate to order the same umbrella again.

Like others who have reviewed this umbrella, I too found the tilt mechanism on my table yesterday. It apparently snapped off. I purchased the umbrella at the beginning of June and starting using mid-June. Yes, its a good price, but not for 3 months of use. Even though from reading the reviews this appears to be an ongoing problem (which I pointed out to the customer service rep), Hayneedle told me that my umbrella is outside the 30 day guarantee and too bad. I will never buy anything from Hayneedle again. I'm very disappointed.

Good quality. If you remember the old fashioned cement tables with matching benches this is what we have the umbrella in.

We bought this umbrella last year and were really pleased with it until a little over a month later the tilt mechanism broke. We were beyond the 30 day warranty and called the manufacturer of this umbrella to get a replacement part. We found out they do not sell replacement parts. We were directed back to hayneedle and I have to say I was extraordinarily pleased with their response and willingness to send us out a new umbrella. We should be getting it later this week
