Cleaning and Caring for Sunbrella
Regular maintenance is the best way to keep your Sunbrella fabrics looking good and delay deep, vigorous cleaning. Brush off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, and wipe up spills as soon as they occur. For light cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution and a sponge, allowing your cleaning solution to soak into the fabric. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow fabric to air dry.

This protective factor is inherent to the product and will not diminish through use or exposure to the sun. I had ordered this thatched umbrella and we ended up using it inside with our glass top bar. Ordered a second one for outside. Both look really great and have a tropical/Tiki feel. Everyone that sees them love them. We have had no rain since I put the umbrella on the patio so I can't say how it will hold up.

The umbrella portion is of high quality, however I was very dissappointed in the thatch, which is plastic and looks cheap. [...] had an umbrella with plastic thatch on sale for $17 end of season, and I did not purchase it because it looked cheap. Now I spent [$] on a cheap looking umbrella. But...aside from the thatch part, it is easy to use, and appears to be of good quality.

I purchased two other bamboo umbrellas from different stores and this one is the best. The crank used to open and close the umbrella works very easily and fast. The pineapple finial adds an extra tropical touch. I use one with a gathering height bar set and two with gathering height table and chairs so all of them needed extension poles.

The umbrella in general looks nice and operates well. The thatch material is defective though. It sheds and blows all over the place. Defective material. I have owned this one year. Calling now to get replacement thatch cover.

Q1: What is the difference for the bamboo umbrella for the fabric? What does grade A, B and thatch mean?
A: The umbrella itself is not made of bamboo. The pole is constructed of bamboo. Please see the size and fabric link on our website patioumbrellas.com regarding details on fabric.
Q2: Are the thatch covers UV rated?
A: No. If you are interested in a shade with UV protection you will need to select a Sunbrella fabric.
Q3: What is the warranty on the thatch covers?
A: The thatch cover has a 1 year warranty and the frame comes with a 2 year warranty.
