Use this base with a free standing umbrella up to 9 feet or in conjunction with a patio table for umbrellas up to 11 feet. We recommend you use caution when using this umbrella base with a free standing umbrella in windy areas. Just remember, a freestanding umbrella with a base has less support than one used with a base and thru a table. Crafted of steel, it has a durable, powder-coated black finish and the neck will fit umbrella poles up to 2 diam. inches. Some minor assembly is required.
