Description

The simple solution to supporting umbrellas up to 9-ft depending on the usage, the 95 lb. Commercial Grade Patio Umbrella Stand can be made heavy enough to hold anything down. This stand arrives to you hollow and lightweight, so you're not paying to ship a heavy stand. Once you have it, you can fill it with up to 95 lbs. of sand, making it incredibly heavy and sure to stay put. Constructed of plastic, this stand is completely weatherproof and will not rust. It's available in several color options so there's sure to be one that matches your patio furniture. The neck will accommodate umbrella poles from 1.5- to 2-inches diameter, and a locking screw-on cap holds the sand inside. Smooth gliding rollers make it easy to move, even after it's been filled.

Designed for use with umbrellas up to 7.5 feet free standing, and 9 feet in conjunction with a patio table. Not designed for freestanding umbrellas 9-foot or larger. To reach a 95 lb. weight, pour sand slowly and shake to ensure the base is filled to full capacity.

Comments about 95 lb. Commercial Grade Patio Umbrella Stand:

This stand relies on friction from a plastic compression fitting to keep the umbrella pole from sliding up during wind gusts. The specs say it is for poles 1.5 inches to 2 inches in diameter, our pole is 1.5 inches and the fitting doesn't come close to holding the pole tightly. Even after tightening as far as it will possibly go, the pole still easily slides up. If wind is an issue for you don't get this stand.

Comments about 95 lb. Commercial Grade Patio Umbrella Stand:

This umbrella stand is decorative and appears to be sturdy. However, the twist cap on top does not lock onto my umbrella tightly, just enough to keep it from spinning if there is no wind. My umbrella pole is 1-1/2 inches, within the size range indicated. The plastic prongs are thin plastic and they give as the cap gets tighter. There is no adapter available. We wrapped some foam around the pole, this was difficult to keep in place but it is working for now. Could possibly use black tape but that gets sticky over time. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this problem because I would like to keep this stand. Suggestions welcome.

Comments about 95 lb. Commercial Grade Patio Umbrella Stand:

I would not recommend this stand with wind. I live on a lake with good wind gusts. However, after putting the sand in, the base itself is not going to move. But our 11 ft. umbrellas all have been picked up by very small gusts and have broken! The stands & umbrellas are less than 6 weeks old! Problem is the stand stays put but it does not secure tightly around the umbrells pole. Also we ordered these in bronze and the white cap which is suppose to secure around the pole is bright white (very cheap looking) I didn't catch that in the shown pictures because they only show it in white & off-white with the cap on. I'm looking into options of returning all 3 stands now. Just remember "you get what you pay for" at this price I should have known better. I will stay with $200 plus stands!

Comments about 95 lb. Commercial Grade Patio Umbrella Stand:

This is the worst umbrella stand I ever bought--I would give it NO stars if I could. And unfortunately I bought two. The neck that screws into the base will bend with the weight of even the lightest umbrella, and the neck hole is huge, so if you have a thinner pole on your umbrella, it will tilt to the side--there are no screws like on most umbrella stands and no way to tighten the collar around the umbrella pole. Both my umbrellas, one a heavier thatch palapa and the other, a lightweight 7 ft market umbrella lean to the side at an almost 45 degree angle. BUYER BEWARE!
