For additional shade, add this umbrella to larger outdoor dining tables that don't accommodate umbrellas or have hard-to-reach umbrella holes.

Featuring a 2-inch diameter aluminum pole, a stainless steel cable crank system, and heavy-duty aluminum ribs with resin housing and hub, this umbrella is ready for the rigors of use. The bronze finish on the pole blends nicely with most patio furniture, and the spun poly shade is available in several color options. A standard base is included with pre-drilled ground anchor holes. If you chose not to anchor the base to the ground, it is recommended that you use at least 100 lbs. of free weight.

    Used it to shade the deck area of the pool. It was unwieldy when trying to rotate, since the whole pole rotated at the base, and it was unstable. It was always difficult to crank down, and finally the cable broke. I Bought a Coral Coast rotating umbrella, which is more stable, cranks easy. Have to check with Hayneedle on the warranty of the California umbrella.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I purchased this unbrella in August of 2009. I am not satisfied with this unbrella. The slighest small breeze and it flys around. This year I have only opened it possibly 4 times and there are tears in the material.I would say it is probably dry rotted. It was covered all winter, and I barely opened it the year before. It was never left open for more than an hour or two at the most.

      Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        Bought this umbrella after looking for a commercial grade offset umbrella for my patio. Had purchased an inexpensive one previously that did not hold up in the Florida climate--not even for a few months. It is key to make sure you have a strong metal cord (not a silly little cotton cord like the many of the inexpensive umbrellas have). It has a beautiful high quality look, the green is a beautiful rich color. Held up beautifully in gusty winds yesterday. My only con would be I would have preferred more color options. Although the green is beautiful and rich looking, it doesn't blend perfectly with my decor. I found only three color options limiting.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            the design of this umbrella is just great and it's very nice looking. However, we had the umbrella less than a week and the crank handle broke and we were unable to raise of lower the umbrella. The company replaced the entire umbrella and so far, no problems. Yes, I recommend it.
