No umbrella hole in your table? No worries. The Oakland Living 10-ft. Cantilever Umbrella has an offset design that offers comfortable shade without cluttering up the middle of your patio. Because of this, the umbrella is particularly well-suited for large dining sets, conversation seating, spas, decks, and pool areas - just about any place you want shaded.
The generously sized umbrella shade is made of durable polyester fabric and comes in green and burnt orange. Lightweight yet very strong, the metal pole and ribs are covered in a dark brown powder-coated finish for extra protection from the elements. All hardware is weather-resistant. Add stone pavers to the stand base for increased stability (not included).

We recommend the products be covered to protect them when not in use, especially when not in use for extended periods of time. To preserve the beauty and finish of our tubular iron products, we recommend applying an epoxy clear coat yearly to prevent oxidation.

This umbrella is beautiful but is extremely unstable. It was significantly cheaper than other similar products by other vendors....and I was reminded that you really do get what you pay for. Even with the base weighted down by many large pavers or stones, it is flimsy at best. I am bummed because we really needed some shade on our deck. I hope it lasts the season.

Overall, this umbrella is great for the price I paid. It is a little front-heavy when the umbrella is opened and 4-6 heavy pavers are needed in order to keep the umbrella upright. I will be attaching the base to my concrete patio later this week, to ensure it stays upright when there is a breeze.
The umbrella does swap quite a bit, with even a slight breeze, so hopefully it will hold up over time.

My wife and I just purchased an Oakland Living 10 ft. Cantilever Umbrella-Green.
It looks great and well made, however I am very disappointed that the umbrella cannot stay out in the rain!
The instructions say that ,"In case of rain the umbrella has to be taken down and put away carefully."
I wish we knew... Anyway, the beautiful umbrella we purchased will have to go into the garage and we will have to sit in the hot sun for the rest of the summer. We are very disappointed.

My wife and I are both handicapped and cannot lift heavy objects (the umbrella weighs 46 lbs.) When I spoke to the representative at "Hyneedle" this morning, she suggested some other Umbrellas, that might work for us, that are weatherproof. However, the person who helped us assemble and put up the umbrella, disposed of the original box. We are on a very tight budget, and can't afford to get another umbrella.
