Q1:
What size bricks are needed and how many?
How are bricks placed inside the stand? Is there a release or does it have to be secured with a screw?
A:
The Shademobile requires 12 standard size house bricks commonly referred to as “used” bricks or “rustic” bricks. Maximum size is 2.5”x 4”x 8.25”.
The bricks are positioned in the base and the Bottom Plate is screwed on over the bricks.
Q2: How large can the umbrella be? I'm thinking of getting an 11' square umbrella.
A:
This stand will hold an 11' umbrella with a pole up to 2" in diameter, but you will need to make sure it is weighted to the max. That is a really large umbrella to use freestanding, be very cautious if the wind picks up!
